Well, that is, as promised, a feather of hope... I think. I’d feel more hopeful if we knew what is on that list of promises, though.

Republicans have repeatedly demonstrated time and time again that they have no plan, no platform ( a popular one anyway ) and no interest or ability to actually perform their job of governing.

Republicans can't present a coherent plan or platform because the party is split into factions with irreconcilable differences.

It makes as much sense as anything I've heard anywhere else and could actually work. The current bill to aid Israel by taking money from the IRS is the same performative nonsense that we've seen from the MAGA crew since this Congress began and one hopes that the Senate will shortly pass something very much like what the administration has proposed tying Ukraine, Israel and border security to get at least the highest priorities moving.

It shouldn't take too long for Mr. Johnson to learn the limitations of of his position. On Ukraine and govt. funding, he's even opposed by Republicans in the Senate.
